NOVEMBER 2008

 

Did a presentation talk to the Myrtleford Cub Group. Talk was on insects, the important role they play in the environment. Showed them my skilled techniques on mounted specimens in display boxes. Brought along live Spiny Leaf Stick Insects and Christmas Beetles they were all fascinated by them. And it was a fun night. 

 

APRIL 2008

 

Sold a few specimens to Science Works Museum, Victoria for extra display as part of their collection.

   

 

SEPTEMBER 2007


Sold presentation display boxes to a Child Care Centre near Geelong. The displays were made up for pre-schoolers to learn about insects.

Sold a collection of mixed insects to the Kyabram Fauna Park to be used for education use.  

 

 

 

 

FEBRUARY 2005


Supplied a local insect collection to the Goulburn Murray Landcare Network in Victoria, to be used as educational purposes for students and the general community.

Repaired another collection of Butterflies & Moths, replaced damaged insects with new specimens from my collection. Running repairs to a Rhinoceros Beetle & another Scorpion.

Supplied living Hunstman spiders to a company in Melbourne Victoria, then going to a school. 

 

 

 

JANUARY 2003


Put together a large variety of local insects to a NSW company, who developed educational packages purchase by primary schools. These display boxes were shown all over Australia & New Zealand and then traveling to England & South Africa.

Repaired a Tarantula that was 20 years old, & a Scorpion in perspex boxes for a company in New South Wales, Australia.

Supplied a collection of local insect species to Kyabram Fauna Park to show the diet of Bats. Used for Educational resources aimed at primary school level.

Presented a small Dung beetle display Identification box for a landholder.

Sold living Dung beetles, to a property owner near Chiltern Victoria.

Displayed my collection of dung beetles at a field day held at Murmungee in North-East Victoria. The purpose was for Landholders to identify local species in the region.

Supplied living Dung Beetles to a Secondry College in Melbourne Victoria.

Supplied a displayed collection of mixed insects for an episode on the TV Show “STINGERS” to be used as props.

 

  

 

OCTOBER 2001

Started selling insects to a company in Melbourne Victoria "Southern Biological" where I supplied pinned, mounted specimens as well as preserved items.

Found a Dung beetle (Onitis alexis) first time it was recorded in North-East Victoria.
