Active period of Adults: Summer
Color: grey body / wings with pink in the middle of the abdomen
Habitat: Eucalypt forests
Status: common in NE Victoria
Additional notes: Caterpillars of this species are green with a strait tail horn, later instars become either green or dark brown. If you have these in your garden, PLEASE DO NOT Remove them. Just leave them alone. As Adult Hawk Moths emerge, they are very colorful and are important beneficial pollinators.

Status / distribution: common and widespread across Australia
Larval color: bright green with 2 large eye-spots at the end of the body.
Additional notes: There are around 850 species of Hawk Moths Australia wide. If you have caterpillars of this species or any other Hawk Moth on the food plant which they are found on, DO NOT KILL them. When the caterpillars are ready to go into their Metamorphosis stage, the adults are important beneficial pollinators.
